Haakan Andresen - Technology Director

Haakan has over 20 years’ experience leading complex change initiatives across multiple industries and countries.

He has held a number of senior roles across Thomas Cook Group IT most recently as Group Head of IT Strategy & Change. He has managed consulting practices, business units and delivered numerous transformation initiatives across Europe, Asia and Russia. Haakan’s experience is complemented by an MBA from a top European business school.

Graham Cook - Digital and Marketing Director

Graham was previously Director of Digital Operations for Thomas Cook with responsibility for the Group digital function delivering development, digital product management, analytics and optimisation solutions.

Prior to Thomas Cook, Graham’s career focus was in digital product management and he held roles at Orange and Expedia as VP of Product & Strategy.

Iain Gibbons - Futures Director

Futures Director

Iain joined Thomas Cook Money from Virgin Money where he was Travel and Adventure Director with responsibility for Travel Insurance, Foreign Exchange and International Money Transfer, as well as establishing the award winning Virgin Money Mortgage Lab.

He is the former founder of a successful digital marketing agency and Managing Director of McCann-Erickson.

Dan Ilett - Commercial Director New Markets

Dan Ilett

Commercial Director New Markets

Dan has launched a number of digital start-ups and was a founding member of Coindesk.

He has led launch and commercial teams for Virgin Money and the UK government. He has advised on go-to-market strategy for IBM and other blue chip firms. Dan was previously a technology journalist who wrote for the Financial Times.

Fraser Millar - Commercial Director - Banking

Commercial Director - Banking

Fraser is responsible for the creation and development of new mobile banking services for Thomas Cook Money, alongside traditional asset and liability products.

Before joining the Thomas Cook Money team, he headed up the UK Financial Services business for Thomas Cook where he was responsible for the launch of the multi-currency pre-paid card and gift card products. He has extensive Retail and Financial Services experience having worked with the M&S brand for 18 years both in Retail and at M&S Bank (HSBC).

Nick Ong-Seng - Risk and Compliance Director

Risk and Compliance Director

Nick has deep risk management experience as the regional Managing Director leading risk, governance and controls across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia in investment banking, and was the Managing Director for Regulation and Compliance at the London Metal Exchange.

He was previously the Head of Business Consulting at the Financial Services Authority (FSA), and brings an extensive career in management consulting delivering strategic, risk and compliance-driven transformation across international Financial Services.

Darren Schindler - Managing Director UK & Europe

Darren Schindler

Darren is an experienced banker having held senior positions in Barclays and HBOS.

In addition, he has significant recent experience in Financial Services start-ups, most notably as Managing Director of Business & Commercial Banking at Metro Bank.

He has also invested in a number of Fintech start-ups and held a variety of Non-Executive positions.

Mark Tarring - Managing Director Asia Pacific

Mark joined Thomas Cook Money in August 2017 from Tasracing where he held several roles including CFO and Interim CEO.

He has over 20 years' experience in Financial Services and more recently was Joint Managing Director at Virgin Money Australia where he was instrumental in driving VMA’s digital strategy, customer experience and performance resulting in the successful turn around and eventual sale to the Bank of Queensland in May 2013.

Nick Willott - Finance Director

Nick joined Thomas Cook Money at its inception, following a number of senior finance roles across the Thomas Cook Group, including Finance Change Director, Corporate Office Finance Director and M&A Director. Prior to joining Thomas Cook in 2010, Nick worked as a Director in M&A Lead Advisory at Deloitte.

Nick has experience in finance, restructuring and delivering change in a number of industries, having worked in the UK, Australia and the US. Nick is a Fellow of the ICAEW, and holds a degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an Executive MBA.

Peter Berry-Edwards - Head of Human Resources

Having held a number of HR roles within Thomas Cook since joining in 2005, Peter has been involved in Thomas Cook Money since its inception, leading all people related activity, alongside his responsibility for Thomas Cook’s Group Corporate Functions and the joint venture in China.

Having previously led the HR team responsible for Thomas Cook’s Retail and Customer areas in the UK, Peter has significant senior HR experience within fast paced, complex, global businesses.

Stuart Boon - Head of Commercial - POS Credit

Stuart has worked with global brands such as Visa, MasterCard, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Avis and the Hard Rock Café in a variety of leadership roles covering payment cards, foreign exchange, international payments, banking systems, loyalty and marketing and was previously Global Sales Director for AXA.

After senior positions at Travelex and Currencies Direct, Stuart joined Thomas Cook Money as Head of Commercial and is responsible for the introduction and performance of a series of Financial Services products and solutions.

James Done - Head of Commercial - Prepaid

James Done

James has extensive global Sales & Marketing experience.

Prior to joining Thomas Cook Money, he was the Global Loyalty Director at American Express where he was part of a team responsible for Membership Rewards. He has worked in the Retail, Entertainment, Travel and Financial Services sectors and has held various positions in both Large Fortune 100 businesses, as well as in start-ups.

Adam has 25 years’ senior experience working in domestic and international travel insurance markets.

Prior to joining Thomas Cook Money, Adam held senior management positions with General Accident, GE Financial Insurance, HBOS Banking Group, AIG and latterly, held the position of Chief Executive Officer for Cover-More UK & Ireland.

She brings over 16 years of experience delivering complex programs from a technology, process and change perspective. Katie has worked across the UK, US and Australia transforming existing business and helping to create new ones.

Brian has spent over 9 years with White Horse Insurance Ireland dac, joining as Operations Director and becoming Managing Director in 2011.

He has 20 years' experience in the travel insurance market having previously worked for RBS Insurance subsidiary and Inter Group Intermediary Services Ltd.

Qin Li - Deputy Director - New Markets

Qin Li

Deputy Director - New Markets

The first and the only British diplomat born in China. Qin worked as a UK government trade and investment professional and diplomat for 16 years in China and London, in her most recent role working as Assistant Director for Education at the Department for International Trade.

She has advised hundreds of British businesses on their China strategies and market opportunities, providing invaluable expertise and insight on governmental policies affecting education trade with China, and guidance on operating in a highly unique context.

Tony Shawcross - Head of Commercial - Gifting and Loyalty

Tony Shawcross

Head of Commercial - Gifting and Loyalty

Tony joined the Thomas Cook Money Team from Visa Digital where he worked on a number of key initiatives including Visa Checkout and Loyalty Solutions.

Prior to this, he worked in the Merchant Acquiring Division of JP Morgan but has also worked for MasterCard in their Advisors business selling Value Add and Loyalty Solutions. He has also worked for American Express Corporate Card, American Airlines and Affinion.
